Last April WMWG followed in the footsteps of those who challenged the establishment on 24th April 1932 and attempted a mass trespass on Kinder Scout.
Those trespassers who achieved a place in history when the democracy of the era failed to protect the rights of the majority over the privileged and landed minority. So in April, we decided to go back again to Bowden Bridge in Derbyshire, to the spot where the trespassers assembled back in 1932. The aim was to celebrate the legacy they left behind and to enjoy the freedom to walk almost anywhere we want to, camp, cook outside and have a great time in a wonderful part of the countryside.

for Summer 2008 is well… it really can’t be as wet as last summer, can it? What ever the weather, the latest WMWG programme is now available for you to start planning you own personal walking programme to get fit, have a laugh and maybe even a suntan? There are also details about our wicked walking weekends away, so you can start planning now. Book early! Looking back over the last 3 months, Hotlegs has been on tour across the West Midlands Region and beyond. Thank you to everybody who has contributed to this edition. Hotlegs is your magazine!
