May Hill and Newent Woods

Grade: Straightforward, 8 miles

Info: A very pleasant, undulating walk over one of the highest and most recognisable hills in Gloucestershire, with stunning views over the Severn Estuary from the summit. Followed by very scenic sections through woodland and local pastures. Excellent pub stop in an unspoiled country inn. SO/699/229

Start Point: Clifford's Mesne Village - either on the lanes or in pub car park.
